“Um… sir, it’s about to be after hours. I’m about to lock up, so… I thought I’d let you know?” She approached them first, out of kindness. She didn’t want to leave them locked up in the store all night; it wouldn’t be fair to them. She at least wanted to show that she had noticed, but she was also too kind to make them move. “You don’t have to move; I’d just… figured I’d let you know.”

A bad trait on her part, but flowers were so easily replaceable with her capabilities. She didn’t even think for a moment about the other negative outcomes; about the chance somebody could take the money. She was more worried about her plants, and the small animals that she kept around. She didn’t want them to be hurt.

↳ ❂ ↰  So he might’ve dozed off a bit (standing up in the aisle of a store, no less), and while he probably should’ve gone back to the facility upon realising how tired her was, he hadn’t felt like being there. Everything considered, why would he? If he went back too early, he’d have to deal with the others, something he wasn’t fond of due to how many of his fellow test subjects disliked him.

The voice brought him back to his senses. He turned to face her with a small smile. “Ah, my bad, I hadn’t meant to linger.” Not to mention that by then, it was way past his curfew. Oh well. “I’ll get out of your way, ma’am.” And at that, he began moving towards the door, towards the street, wondering if it was worth trying to go home.
