“Please, you get used to it after a while.” A while for her would be a little over two centuries. But, regardless, she moved to latch her arm around the other’s. “Fine. I’ll accompany you for a while if that’s what you want. But if the food we’re getting is terrible, I’m leaving.”
↳ ღ ↰ Getting used to it and willingly subjecting herself to it were two different things, but Sherry wouldn’t debate that. Her smile widened at the gesture, and she nodded to the street. “That’s fine. I’m picky as well, but I know a nice teahouse not too far from here. Does that sound good for you?”
She immediately turned back to look at the stranger, her behavior raising a bit of suspicion. “First I get a compliment and now I’m being asked out? Aren’t I a lucky girl.” She stepped closer to stare at the other. Not like she had anything else to do with her time but she couldn’t help but feel a bit reluctant. “What do you want from me?”
↳ ღ ↰ “Company?” She asked it like a question, tapping her chin. “I’m all alone for the day, and it gets pretty lonely.” After all, she’d never been able to break the habit of craving attention from others, so not having company after getting used to be around people at all hours of the day bothered her. Forgive her for attempting to remedy that situation.
She couldn’t help but get chocked up by the other’s compliments. Someone actually complimenting her on anything seemed so abstract. Perhaps there was a motive to this. Just to throw her off. But at the same time, it did sound pretty genuine. She coughed a bit to clear her throat as she turned away, clearly confused. “….Thank you.”
↳ ღ ↰ Sherry rocked back on her heels. Oh, that reaction reminded her so much of a certain someone that it made her laugh, and it only made her more curious. “Are you busy?” she asked without missing a beat. “I was about to grab tea and a snack, and if you’d like, I think you’d be wonderful company.” Because inviting strangers places wasn’t odd or anything.
↳ ღ ↰ “Has anyone ever told you that your hair is beautiful?” Sherry was in a good mood that particular day, so why not share the joy by complimenting complete strangers? Not only that, but it gave her something to do outside as well that wasn’t the usual window shopping and eating. “Your eyes too–in fact, you’re pretty all around!”
