A single drop of sweat runs down the side of the performer’s face as she stares up at Kotone. She blinks profusely, shifting her gaze from the girl to her dessert, then back to the girl.
“O-Oh, this? It’s called crème brûlée. You can just… order it at the counter, you know.”
However, when she realizes that the girl doesn’t plan on moving, Rue swallows hard before taking a spoonful of the burnt cream and offering it to her.
“Or…uh. I-If you’d like to try some… Here?”
↳ ♫ ↰ But did she have the money to buy some for herself? After all, she was still a child (and no one trusted her with more than a few dollars), and while she wanted to try it, she probably already spent her allowance on other snacks. She’d seen people with money cards, but the chances of her ever being given one of those was slim to none.
“Can I?” she asked, yet she didn’t wait for an answer before leaning over and taking the bite. Oh, it was really good. She’d definitely bring that up with her older siblings. “Thank you.”
