*:・゚✧ MOMOKO GUESSED that she hadn’t been the only one uncomfortable, nodding at the other’s request with a tiny smile of her own. “Yeah, I can do that.” Motioning him to follow her, she went over an internal schedule. Working in this district, she knew it was about this time when things got busy. People, like her, were just getting out of work or school. What area would be the less crowded? “Sorry, for the sudden-ness of all this.” Though she said such, she was sure ‘sudden-ness’ wasn’t even a word.
Oh, she knew they could go! Walking only a step ahead of the guy, she made a beeline for the second hand bookstore located around the corner. Momoko didn’t fancy herself an avid reader, but she had gone there enough times to know it was almost always slow there; yet with enough people to deter a stalker. “Let’s go to the bookstore!” Pointing a few stores down, she grinned excitedly at the other just as she would a friend.
↳ ❂ ↰ Uncomfortable was an understatement. Being haphephobic in such a crowd always ended terribly; each person bumping into him made him seize up, and he barely managed to keep from outwardly panicking, let alone concentrate long enough to find an escape route. But one person? One person he could follow–and he was grateful she didn’t grab his arm to drag him out. Kaeto trailed along behind her, dodging people as well as he could manage.
A bookstore sounded nice. He attempted a smile that matched hers, but it didn’t quite make up for the sweat on his brow or the shakiness of his hands. With any luck, that stalker of hers would dismiss those tiny details and peg him as odd rather than a stranger. “Good idea,” he mumbled out. Oh, he’d feel so much better once they finally broke free of the crowd and he could breathe again.
