Nagisa chewed on the inside of his lip as the other kept inspecting the fake little knife that he had been gifted by the classroom. He was so used to keeping it on his body or in his bag that when he was without it he fell into a slight panic. Even more so that it was in someone else’s hands, he ground his teeth a bit trying to figure out what to say to the other.
“Is it really that important since it’s fake? It’s a costume prop, what else could I really use it for?”
↳ ❂ ↰ What a nice, cohesive, convincing lie–too bad dishonesty didn’t really work on him. Kaeto laughed as he twirled the knife in his hand, inspecting the weight distribution and density. It wouldn’t be harmful to any human, nor was it a costume prop as the kid said. So it had to hurt something, but what? “Y’know, if I were just about anyone else, I would’ve believed that. Well done, kiddo. Aren’t you supposed to be honest with your elders, though? Respect and all that? It’s just innocent curiosity. Besides, if it’s a secret, I’ll tell you one too, since that’d only be fair.”
